Ardent Love | Jane Austen Inspired Stylized Bridal Shoot
About the styled bridal shoot
This styled setup was so unique. It left so many details and an empty canvas to be able to use your creativity and create something unique in each shot. It reminds me of a quite day indoors while hearing the rain on the window. The color pallet was minimal and natural. The details were so amazingly gorgeous! Soft pastels with a hint of greenery. Even though this shoot segment was indoors, it was all shot with natural window light and mostly on film! I was so nervous to use my film camera indoors in fear that I would not get enough natural light to make good exposure. But I was so surprised when I got my film scans and WOW, they came out amazing. How could they not with this gorgeous model and details? Cypress Grove Estate house is so full of options for areas to shoot at! I NEED to have a bride host their wedding there for me soon to make beautiful photos!
About the workshop
The Bel Amour Workshop was hosted by my good friend Kati Rosado, and by my new friend KT Crabb! (all credits to them and vendors are at the end BTW). I came to not only attend but to give a helping hand throughout the day since SO MANY details go into hosting a workshop. I must say, I was so impressed with these girls and all the attendees with the amount of similar passion and creativeness they all had! I felt like I was in my element and with people who shared a similiar and huge passion of mine. It is amazing to have that sort of instant connection with someone. You just become friends right away because you love the same thing, its awesome! We had so much to talk about and so many good ideas to pass around. It was my first workshop! I learned so much from other film shooters, and got to exercise my creativity for the day.
